Current members of Hennepin Fire Rescue
The Hennepin Fire Department is located in the Village of Hennepin, at 201 East High Street, in Putnam County, Illinois, 61327. The Village of Hennepin, sits on a bluff overlooking the Illinois River, and affords its residents, views of the serene Illinois River and its many tranquil sunsets.
The members of the Hennepin Fire Department, protect several industries, along with a sizeable residential area, and thousands of acres of pristine Illinois farmland. We are an all volunteer department, and provide a variety of services to our District. These include, Fire, Rescue, First responder, and Confined space rescue to name a few. To our East is our brother department, the Granville Fire Department, which is located in about the North Central area of the county. Granville is also our automatic mutual aid, responding automatically to all of our structure fires. To our southeast is McNabb Fire Department. Standard Fire Department protects the far east of the county. Henry Fire Department and Tiskilwa Fire Department protects the far western portions of the county, and last but not least is the Magnolia Fire Department which protects the far southeast of the county.
The Hennepin Fire Department covers an area of about 30 square miles of Putnam County.
